Telangana police arrest atheist Naresh for derogatory comments against Hindu deities

  BJP state president Bandi Sanjay slammed the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government and demanded action against the offender. Hyderabad:  Telangana Police on Saturday arrested atheist Bairi Naresh for alleged derogatory remarks against lord Ayyappa and other Hindu deities. Police arrested the Bharata Nasthika Samajam state president in Hanamkonda district following state-wide protests by Lord Ayyappa devotees. Cases were booked against Naresh at various police stations in the state on complaints by the devotees. Hyderabad police’s cyber crime cell had also booked Naresh for allegedly making derogatory statements. Cases were booked against him under sections 153A, 295A, 208 and 505 (2) of the IPC at various police stations in the state.   Moinabad Farmhouse Horse Trading Case:  After vehemently denying allegations of horse trading at the Moinabad farmhouse and trying to buy out  four TRS MLAs , as a drama purportedly done by the ruling party, the BJP filed a writ petition in the Telangana High Court on Thursday. The BJP sought for a special inquiry committee to conduct a comprehensive probe into the matter. Bharat Jodo Yatra Resumes After 4-day Break in Telangana

  After a gap of four days, the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed from Makthal in Narayanpet district of Telangana on Thursday. The yatra kicked off at 6.30 am from Makthal with State Congress president A Revanth Reddy, MP Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka and a number of party leaders joining Gandhi. This is the second day of the yatra in the state. The Bharat Jodo Yatra entered the state via Gudebellur on October 23 morning, after exiting Karnataka from Raichur.

Degree Course In Temple Architecture To Begin At Yadagirigutta This AY 2022-23

  Yadagirigutta temple file pic HYDERABAD:  A three-year degree programme in temple architecture will soon commence in the current academic year of 2022-23. As per a press release by the Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority (YTDA) VC and CEO G Kishan Rao on Thursday, the VC said that the 3 years degree course in Traditional, Sculpture, and Architecture ( Temple Architecture) would commence on November 21 this year. The programme is being conducted in affiliation with the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad. JNAFAU  had given permission for affiliation to start a three years degree course in Traditional, Sculpture, and Architecture, in a college to be established in Yadagirigutta temple premises in August this year. This would be on par with institutions offering Temple Architecture as a course like the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and Mahabalipuram.

  Hyderabad: Stating that as the inquiry into the poaching attempt of four Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLAs is in preliminary stage, the TRS Working President KT Rama Rao on Thursday advised the party leaders against speaking to the media on the issue.  In a tweet, the TRS leader said the party leaders should desist from commenting on the horse-trading issue even. Telangana sees 74 new COVID-19 cases

Hyderabad : Telangana on Tuesday recorded 74 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the overall caseload to 8,38,182. Hyderabad district reported the highest number of cases at 46. According to a COVID-19 bulletin, 98 people recuperated from the infection, raising the cumulative number of recoveries till date to 8,33,486 The recovery rate stood at 99.44 percent. No fresh fatality was reported due to the infectious disease and the toll continued to be 4,111. The bulletin said 7,796 samples were tested today. The number of active cases was 585, it said.

Ashirvad Pipes to invest Rs 500 cr in Telangana

Hyderabad: Continuing the good run at getting big ticket investments, Telangana succeeded in getting Ashirvad Pipes of Aliaxis Group agree to set up a greenfield facility with an investment of Rs 500 crore in Telangana. The firm will manufacture storage and distribution plastic piles, fittings and accessories. The announcement came after Aliaxis CFO Koen Sticker met with Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. This investment will create over 500 jobs in Telangana State. Hyderabad: Beggar arrested for murdering pedestrian

  Hyderabad:  The LB Nagar police arrested a beggar on charges of attacking a pedestrian in a robbery bid, which resulted in the latter’s death here on Monday. The suspect, V Raghavulu Narasimha alias Narsing (32) from Kanajiguda in Trimulgiri, who earns a living by begging, stays on the pavements at traffic signals, police said. Narsing recently started committing robberies and snatching mobile phones from people on secluded roads in an inebriated condition On the night of December 14, he waylaid one A Krishna Reddy (48) at Kothapet, LB Nagar metro station and demanded money. When the victim refused to give, Narsing pushed him on the road median. Krishna Reddy suffered grievous injuries on his head and fell unconscious. Mahesh Bank e-fraud: Two held from Delhi

  Hyderabad:  Three persons were taken into custody by the Hyderabad Cybercrime Police in Delhi in connection with the   Mahesh Urban Cooperative Bank case   on Monday. The three persons, who hold accounts, received the money transferred from the Mahesh Bank by the fraudsters early this month. A total of Rs 14.9 crore was transferred from the bank by the fraudsters from different accounts. In Hyderabad, the police had identified three accounts where the money was transferred by the fraudsters. However, it could not help much as the persons in whose name the accounts exist are not aware of it.

Operation Smile: 2,296 children rescued since Jan 1

  Hyderabad:  Operation Smile-VIII carried out by the police across the State for a month from January 1 helped in rescuing as many as 2,296 children including 489 girls. Of the total rescued children, 2,432 of them were handed over to their parents and guardians and 353 were admitted to rescue homes while 812 children belong to other State/country. The police teams also rescued 165 street children along with 1413 children working as labourers and 236 were rescued from brick kilns. Nineteen-seven children, who were seeking alms, were also rescued. As many as 874 children were rescued from various other works. About 293 children details were enrolled in darpan application and 279 children were compared with missing children data during the Operation Smile. In all, 342 FIRs were registered under various sections of laws and identified 360 accused persons.
