HMWSSB adopts tech for delivery services

Hyderabad: Hyderabad headquartered digital solutions company Kellton Tech has announced on Monday that it has been selected as a technology partner by Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) to deploy digital technologies in their citizen service delivery systems.

As part of this engagement, Kellton Tech will leverage descriptive analytics and IoT-based smart metering technology to support HMWSSB with real-time information for planning, monitoring, and diagnosis of its systems and processes across its value chains.

This holistic solution approach will help HMWSSB forecast demand and dynamically price resource consumption based on predictive analytics, thus promoting more efficient water use and ensuring fair pricing to citizens.

Streamlining grievance redressal
Furthermore, HMWSSB will drive faster data-driven decisions, better optimise the government machinery and ecosystem for the timely elimination of inefficiencies, and curate frictionless experiences. Kellton Tech will also collaborate to help HMWSSB streamline its grievance redressal by introducing AI-based Metro Customer Care and addressing the needs of citizens and society with more agility and responsiveness. The company will also deploy smart metering systems to ensure a robust, secure foundation for effective fault management and build resilience.

Hyderabad: Overhead electrical equipment (OHE) failure was reported between Secunderabad and Lalaguda stations on Sunday night, after power lines reportedly snapped over a moving Intercity Express near Moulali. The incident occurred around 10 pm, caused a loud noise, following which the train was stopped near Moulali as a precaution. Some passengers reportedly stepped out of the train amid confusion. The South Central Railway officials immediately launched restoration measures. According to the railway authorities, there were no casualties or injuries in the incident. A few trains were detained or regulated for less than 10 minutes and were subsequently allowed to resume normal operations. Train No. 12795 Vijayawada–Lingampalli Express, which was detained in the section, was being moved towards Secunderabad. Railway authorities clarified that both up and down train services are now operating normally.
