Ashirvad Pipes to invest Rs 500 cr in Telangana

Hyderabad: Continuing the good run at getting big ticket investments, Telangana succeeded in getting Ashirvad Pipes of Aliaxis Group agree to set up a greenfield facility with an investment of Rs 500 crore in Telangana. The firm will manufacture storage and distribution plastic piles, fittings and accessories. The announcement came after Aliaxis CFO Koen Sticker met with Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. This investment will create over 500 jobs in Telangana State. In this connection, the Telangana Government signed a memorandum of understanding with Aliaxis, a global leader in advanced piping systems for building, infrastructure, industrial and agriculture applications. Telangana to offer free education to children of deceased journalists: KTR

  The State government has already extended a lot of support to the journalists’ fraternity and was prepared to enhance it further, he said. Unemployment dole: Another move by TRS to check saffron surge

  Hyderabad: More than two years after promising unemployment allowance, the TRS government is gearing up to formulate a scheme as it seeks to check BJP, which is going aggressive in its attacks on the ruling party over unfulfilled promises. Despite a big drop in revenue due to Covid induced lockdown and consequent slowdown, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government is contemplating to roll out unemployment allowance soon. Telangana to have logistics policy soon, says KTR

  “Hyderabad has all the parameters required to transform into a logistics hub,” Rao said after inaugurating a logistics  park  at Batasingaram under Ibrahimpatnam constituency here. Hyderabad:  Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday said the State government would be introducing a logistics policy shortly, with a draft policy already being prepared. Soon after obtaining Cabinet approval, the logistics policy would be introduced to boost employment locally and to generate more revenue for the State, he said. KTR asks Centre to bear 20 per cent cost of projects in ULBs

He wanted the Centre to allocate at least 20 per cent funds in the upcoming Union Budget for 2021-22 for developmental projects in ULBs. Hyderabad:  Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday urged the Centre to approve funding for various innovative and development works undertaken by the State government in Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across the State.
