Traffic restrictions in Chikkadpally from Saturday

The traffic police has requested the motorists to take alternate routes to reach their destinations

Hyderabad: Certain traffic regulations have been imposed between Indira Park and VST junction in view of construction of four lane bi-directional elevated corridor. The traffic police will enforce the diversions from Saturday and the same will continue till the completion of the works.

Accordingly, RTC buses/heavy vehicles coming from RTC cross-roads towards Hindi Mahavidyalaya will be diverted at RTC cross roads towards Chikkadpally market, Narayanguda cross-roads left turn, Crown CafĂ©, Barkathpura Petrol Pump, Fever Hospital, Vidyanagar Main Road and Hindi Mahavidyalaya.

Similarly, buses/heavy vehicles from Hindi Mahavidyalaya towards RTC cross roads will be diverted at Hindi Mahavidyalaya junction towards Fever Hospital via Barkathpura petrol pump, Crown CafĂ©, Narayanguda cross-roads, Chikkadpally market and RTC cross-roads.

The buses and heavy vehicles coming from Bagh Lingampally will be diverted towards Ramnagar from Crown CafĂ© – Barkathpura petrol pump, Fever Hospital road, Vidyanagar main road, Hindi Mahavidyalaya – Adikmet and Ramnagar. Those coming from Ramnagar towards Baghlingampally will be diverted at Ramnagar cross-roads via Ramnagar Gundu – Adikmet – Hindi Mahavidyalaya – Fever Hospital – Barkathpura.

The traffic police has requested the motorists to take alternate routes to reach their destinations and avoid the above routes and cooperate.

An overhead electrical equipment failure was reported near Moulali on Sunday night after power lines reportedly snapped over a moving Intercity Express.

  Hyderabad: Overhead electrical equipment (OHE) failure was reported between Secunderabad and Lalaguda stations on Sunday night, after power lines reportedly snapped over a moving Intercity Express near Moulali. The incident occurred around 10 pm, caused a loud noise, following which the train was stopped near Moulali as a precaution. Some passengers reportedly stepped out of the train amid confusion. The South Central Railway officials immediately launched restoration measures. According to the railway authorities, there were no casualties or injuries in the incident. A few trains were detained or regulated for less than 10 minutes and were subsequently allowed to resume normal operations. Train No. 12795 Vijayawada–Lingampalli Express, which was detained in the section, was being moved towards Secunderabad. Railway authorities clarified that both up and down train services are now operating normally.
